For more information on the curriculum, please visit https://www.darulatfaal.com/school/syllabus. We take pride in teaching a comprehensive curriculum which covers all the essentials of Islam. The students at Darul Atfaal are given all the necessary and needed support to ensure they are empowered with sound authentic knowledge.
Qai’dah / Qur’aan: All students are thoroughly tested on their Qaid’ah upon enrolment. Upon the completion of the Qai’dah, students gradually move onto the Qur’aan. Our objective is make each student a confident reciter of the Qur’aan, hence we do not aim to complete the recitation from Surah Fatihah to Surah An-Naas. Rather, students are taught various parts of the Qur’aan which enables them to create a skill to recite from any part of the Qur’aan with confidence, beauty and passion.
Islamic Studies: In this subject, children cover the Safar Academy Islamic Studies Curriculum. From the tender age of 5 to 15, students go through the textbooks tailored as per the students needs. The student are assessed regularly via the workbook which is also provided.
Arabic: This year, Darul Atfaal has teamed up with Arabic College in their own words, “The Arabic College is an institute run by expert teachers with an aim to become the number one Arabic institute in the UK.
Our unique curriculum has been designed by expert teachers to develop a love for the language and give our students a similar mastery as that achieved by native students from Universities across Egypt. This, coupled with our learning environment, expert teaching staff and low student: teacher ratio ensures students of all learning styles and abilities gain the maximum from their learning.
With organisations becoming more and more international, there has never been a greater need for staff to speak multiple languages. As such, our hope is that we can give our students the confidence to apply these language skills they have learnt in various fields outside of class, including applying for lucrative multilingual careers.”
Duaas & Sunnah: The Duaas and Sunnah is an integral lesson at Darul Atfaal wherein the students are given an insight into the prophetic lifestyle. From learning the duas to every act to how that act was demonstrated by our beloved master, Muhammad (SAW), the students are encouraged to learn and implement the teaching in their lives. The books used for this lesson is published by Darul Atfaal.
Yes, Alhamdulillah, Darul Atfaals holds classes for Men and Women. During the weekdays, there are Tajweed classes held in Forest Gate E7 and during the weekends the tajweed classes are held in Manor Park E12. These classes are taught by qualified Tajweed teachers and caters for all levels.
